Audi revealed new TT RS ‘plus’

A while back, there were rumors of Audi bringing a lighter and faster version of the TT RS. Well here it is- the Audi TT RS ‘plus’. Its official now that this sharper version of the Audi TT RS will be making its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show due next month.

The Audi TT RS has a 2.5 litre TFSI engine, delivering a max output of 360 hp, a staggering 20 horses more than the predecessor. Also the torque figure is higher with 15Nm more than the regular, the TT RS ‘plus’ gives 465Nm of torque output. It comes with dual clutch transmission system with launch control function. There is choice of transmission from a six-speed manual and a seven-speed S-tronic. This propels the TT RS ‘plus’ form halt to 100kmph in mere 4.1 seconds with the S-tronic transmission and the manual transmission takes 4.33seconds.

Audi revealed new TT RS 'plus'

Available in Europe from April 2012, the compact sports car comes as a hard top Coupe and Roadster. While in US, the buyers can only get a hard top, manual transmission Coupe. Audi adds contrast to the 19inch black alloy wheels with red accent of the rim flanges.

Pricing starts from Rs 39.61 lacs in Germany for the six-speed manual and Rs 41.01 lacs for the seven-speed S-tronic automatic.
