Avis India looking to cash in on 2011 World Cup fever

The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup fever seems to have caught on even to the car rental agencies. Few days back it was duly posted on our portal about Hyundai been the official partner for this World Cup as also their high aspirations from sponsoring this event. Now, India’s famous car rental agency, Avis India is trying to cash in on the World Cup mania. The offer is such that anyone availing of self drive car rentals bookings or chauffers from the agency would be entitled to a 20 percent discount. This offer is valid for the entire duration of the World Cup.

CEO Avis India, Sunil Gupta said that since there would be many people from the world visiting India during the Cricket World Cup 2011, it is imperative that they enjoy the world class services of Avis India and tour the country using Avis India’s car services. The product portfolio from Avis India includes automatic cars, SUVs, soft roaders, sedans and even 4x4s. To name a few cars, those would be the Maruti Swift from the hatchback category, Ford Fiesta, Swift Dzire and Honda City from the mid size car category, Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Toyota Camry, Mercedes E and S class as well as the BMW 5 series from the premium luxury segment, Tata Safari, Toyota Innova, Mitsubishi Pajero and the Ford Endeavor from the SUV/MUV category. This offer from Avis India is available from 17th February 2011 to 2nd April 2011.
