Bentley took to skies for the debut of the Continental V8

Beating not just the traffic but also the marketing, for the debut of its new Continental V8, Bentley took a leap forward and moved to the skies (literally). Thanks to the excellent chopper pilot and efficient harness, the new Bentley Continental V8 reached the Sky lounge, which is a glazed bridge between two towers. Munich witnessed this over the top show before the GT reached the lounge party with 300 VIP guests.

Wonder what the insurance people had going in their head when Klaus Becker, General Manager of Bentley, took practically the logo of Bentley- the ‘Winged-B’ emblem.

The new Bentley Continental GT V8 was unveiled at the Detroit Auto show in January. This Coupe is powered by a 4.0 litre V8, and its not just any V8, it’s a twin-turbo producing 500hp and a torque of 487 lbs-ft. The W12 engine produces 67hp more than the smaller engine and has a torque of 516 lbs-ft. However, the V8 has a better fuel economy of over 40% more than the W12. Mated with the V8 is an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The GT arrived to the lounge with almost effortlessly. Seems, Becker has not left any loose straps in the debut of the new Bentley Continental GT.
