Citroen has a new car in its DS line up, a racing concept, which will go up against its French rival Renault Sport Megane RS. Making its debut at the Geneva Motor show in a few weeks from now, the Citroen DS4 Racing Concept got jaw-dropping look.
Bases on the current DS4 five-door variant, the Racing Concept comes with a long list of modifications that make it a major competitor at the World Rally Championship, if it went in production of course. To start with, the Racing Concept has DS4 base and powering it is a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder racing tuned engine, producing 256 hp, while the standard model developed 200 hp. This could be the most powerful Citroen ever built if it ever went into production.
Using the WRC winning expertise, Citroen has the ground clearance decreased by 1.4-inches and the track width increased at front and rear by 2.2 and 3 inches respectively. This Racing Concept comes with racing designed dual tone 19-inch alloy wheels shod with 235/40 tires. The racing style brakes includes an oversized 380mm dia discs along with four-piston calipers. Overall design of the Racing concept is aggressive and aerodynamic.
Stay tuned for more details from the launch at Geneva Motor show next month.
