The first-of-its-kind exhibition for the tyre fraternity, Tyrexpo India 2011, would be held in the month of July which will showcase the equipment and new tyres in India and will provide a unique opportunity to domestic suppliers and manufacturers to foray into global market with their product offerings and services.

Manufacturers who are riding high on the back of a buoyant growth in the Indian economy are mulling to venture into overseas markets in order to grow further and expand their footprint in the international market. Paul Farrant, MD of ECI international, the organizing body, was quoted as saying that the exhibition has a history of providing manufacturers and suppliers to unique overseas opportunities. He said that the expo was generally new concept for the Indian market albeit it is a well-established event in other equipment and tyre markets including South Africa, Singapore and the UK.

The Expo tries to bring in concert dedicated industry professional, from the tyre sector who are eager to do business globally, for a strenuous three-day episode that endows with highly proficient environment for doing commerce. Mr. Paul further said that their event focuses on delivering trade opportunities and is a trade-only event for visitors and exhibitors. The company has a proven track record of almost two decades in providing conducive international platforms for the tyre sector and helping them develop fresh set of connections. He was of the firm belief that the Tyrexpo will fill the void in the market for such events that will act as a potent instrument for domestic producers to set up new connections fruitfully on an international level. Also the show was timed at the right moment in the country. The firm conviction of Mr. Paul stems from the louder-than-words statistical figures that show a thriving economy with the second fastest growing GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of 8-9 percent, an augmentation that the western economies can only mull in their dreams. And the Indian tyre manufacturing industry is a significant contributor to the stupendous performance of the country through extra production capacity, new investment and rapid expansion.

According to a statistical study from www.atmaindia.org, the total familial tyre production is projected to grow at the rate of 10 percent in monetary values for the second year in a row. Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association’s (atmaindia) Mr.  Rajiv Budhraja remarked on Tyrexpoindia by saying that the expo is a reflection of affirmative dynamic development and growth of the tyre making in India that ECI international, a company well-established in organizing exhibitions is mulling an out and out dedicated tyre show to the south Indian city of Chennai this year. Further saying that the industry on account of its rapid growth and a forecasted 9 percent GDP and a double digit growth volume-wise in the tyre manufacturing industry for the second year in a row. He was of the view that the timing of the expo was nothing less than ideal and the event would provide an opportunity and a raised dais for the local tyre suppliers and manufacturers who will get this chance to promote their services and products to global buyers across the globe. India’s sunrise position in the top list of global manufacturing nations is a further testimonial of the latest decision by two of the world’s biggest global tyre producers, Bridgestone and Michelin, to institute domestic manufacturing bases. Lending their weight behind the expo and giving it credibility are the commitment by companies such as OTR specialist BKT, Malhotra Rubbers,  Koba Banden, Unipatch, Steinbichler, Omni United, Sundaram Industries, Rubberking, and Elgi Rubbers. The show to be held in the city of Chennai will be held from 5-7 July 2011 and the venue finalized for the same is Chennai Trade Centre. The choice of the venue was inspired by the fame of the Chennai trade Centre, as one of the most prestigious places to hold an exhibition at previously it had been a host of series of key events including Print Expo, Industry Expo and International Rubber Expo.
