Ferrari Recalls 458 Italia And 458 Spider Over Trunk Latch Issue

A recall from Ferrari may sound unobvious which could disheartened many who already own it. Need not to be that extreme, it’s just a secondary latch in the trunk which is facing an issue over the opening of boot in stationary condition – citing a possibility of death if a person gets trapped inside!

The unlatches in such a way that opens only a crevice of the trunk availing fresh air for the trapped, but due to the prolonged stay inside could become fatal and cause injuries as well as death at a later stage.

However, the boot of Italian supercar measures 8.12 cubic feet only to fit a suitcase of small size. But the official authority of US, where the recall is made, NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) said it can prove dangerous if the child is trapped instead.
