Newly launched E Class had concluded a lot for the Indian shores, regarding a whole spiking bunch for organization, and some important insights about its SUV siblings and the entry level model plates.

Following the trait of BMW and Audi, Mercedes Benz too is trying to hit the maximum mark of local production as soon as possible. Yes, apart from the production of C Class, E Class and (SUV) ML Class at Pune facility, now it is said that GL Class will enter the same manufacturing bay by month of August or so. This will help the organization to trim down the costing and brew up competitive factors for standing frugally in the rivalries against Bavarians and Audis.

Moreover the brand had pumped additional Rs. 850 crore in the plant to double up the production capacity that now finally yields total output of 20,000 units in a year.

Leaving the production debate behind, Germans are making most of the moment to cash on the smaller cities and towns which conclude around 50% of total sales for their brand in India. Commenting for those, Mercedes Benz India MD & CEO Eberhard Kern said, “45% of our sales come from big metros like Delhi and Mumbai, which is not expected to change soon, but over the years the potential of new market would grow and help Mercedes to spread its wings in newer areas and generate fresh customers in the Indian market.”

That’s not it; Mercedes Benz is also targeting ‘India’ to become its top ten global market in the coming few years, for which new dealerships at Dhanbad, Jalandhar, Karnal, Calicat, Tisawadi, Porvorim and Vadodra amongst other are being said immaculate to generate positive shooting sales from the fresh set of boffins.

Just the last, entry-level Merc which are presently entering India via CBU routes will soon face the local assembly at Pune by next year. This will include the A Class as well as B Class – badges needed to clinch the Indian assembly very importantly.
