A few months back we had reported about Honda slashing prices for its City sedan by as much as INR 66,000. Honda has done it again now, however this time the City is replaced by Honda’s popular Jazz car. While the surprising fact is not that the company has gone for slashing prices, as it has done this earlier, it is the fact that Honda has slashed the price by a whopping INR 1.75 lakhs, irrespective of the variant chosen.
Honda, which once dominated the market with its City sedan and other popular models, has been facing a lot of heat since the past few months, with the influx of global car manufacturers. The hike in petrol prices has also not gone down well with customers, who are now opting for brands that offer more diesel powered variants.
The current Honda Jazz, with a price tag of INR 7,12,500, was already selling at a discounted rate of INR 55,000. It was also offered with a special insurance offer, which increased the discount value to INR 80,000. The recent INR 95,000 price cut means that one can now ride away with a Honda Jazz for a price around INR 6 lakhs.
The Jazz hatchback already had a lot going for it, and with the recent slashed price, the car is sure to become the fasted selling model. According to the new INR 1.75 lakh discount, the Honda Jazz will now be available for INR 5.5 to 5.8 lakhs.
