Three months after the teaser image of the next Hyundai hybrid, the concept car is ready to make its debut at 2012 Geneva Motor. Thanks to Korean Car Blog, the first image of the Hyundai i-oniq concept is out, with just days to go into the official debut.
What looks like a sports crossover, is a two-door hatch featuring the iconic ‘fluidic sculpture’ styling language of the Korean brand. The sporty design features low roofline and sleek body, with length extending up to 173 inches, viz kind of overextended for a hatch.
Designed by Hyundai European R&D center in Russelsheim, Germany, the Hyundai i-oniq concept sports a small gasoline engine powering a battery pack that drives the motor at the rear wheels.
We shall have more from the Hyundai i-oniq concept after its debut at Geneva Motor Show.
