Founding chairman of Super Car Club and India’s only drifting champion, Mr. Gautam Singhania will be launching India’s first car build exclusively for drifting on December 7th. A short film that will feature his incredible win at the All Stars Drift European series will also be showcased on this occasion. India’s first drift car, that sound’s quite interesting; it would definitely be something new for the auto enthusiast.

All Star European Drifting Championship was conducted on third Sunday of September at Malta. Gautam Singhania entered the race with Nissan Sylvia S13 given to him by a friend. He made few modifications to make it ready for the drift. He was the only Indian among the 30 participants, few of which were hardcore professionals.

Although He managed to practice just for a few days and to everyone’s surprise Singhania emerged as the winner topping the points chart by 88 points. It was a close call as he was followed by an Italian just by 2.5 point’s margin.

Speaking on his win Singhania said that he was as much surprised as anyone else, as he entered the race without any expectations. He also said that his main target was to qualify for the race and once he qualified he just wanted to enjoy his day.

Singhania is also planning to bring drift racing to Indian soil. Speaking on his intentions, he said that it can be a popular sport in India as the required infrastructure is already present. He also added that many of the existing tracks are well equipped to handle these races.

He further said that talks are still in the initial stage but he would differently like to see drift events taking place in India.
