Mahindra launches Xylo D2 MAXX 9 seater variant for Rs. 7.12 lakh ex showroom Mumbai

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., India’s leading SUV manufacturer, today announced the launch of the Xylo D2 MAXX with 9 seats option. This is the first time the Xylo, one of India’s most popular MPVs (multi-purpose vehicles) will be available with a 9 seats option, making it ideally suited for tour and travel operators, for passenger movement. Competitively priced at Rs. 7.12 lacs (BS3, ex-showroom Mumbai), this variant boasts side-facing rear seats.

According to Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. “The Xylo D2 MAXX with the mDI CRDe engine is a variant of the Xylo, which delivers great mileage, low maintenance and maximum space, making it a very popular choice with the tour and travel segment. Today, we are delighted to offer our customers the 9 seats option with side-facing rear seats – a feature preferred by the tour and travel segment. Given that the Xylo has best-in-class space, the side facing seats will provide a great deal of flexibility for carrying people or luggage.”

Equipped with the proven 2.5 litre mDI CRDe engine, the XYLO D2 MAXX offers excellent power and torque with a best-in-class mileage of 14.95 kmpl as per ARAI test results. The mDI CRDe engine combines the benefits of both DI and CRDe technology. These include enhanced fuel efficiency, low maintenance and spares costs, low emissions and NVH levels. This technologically superior engine complies with BS III & BS IV emission norms and delivers a power-packed 95 PS with 220 Nm torque over a range of 1400 to 2600 rpm. The power packed engine ensures better driveability of the vehicle through steep climbs and difficult terrain, while the 9 seat option ensures maximum seating space, in addition to best-in-class headroom and leg room. On a long drive, you can zip down the straights with the long wheelbase and independent multi-link suspension with EST (Extra Stability Technology), keeping the vehicle composed and rock steady.

The Xylo’s value proposition of style, luxurious space and comfort continues with the D2 MAXX variant. Further, the option of double capacity side-facing rear seats is a feature highly preferred by the commercial segment owners, since it gives them the flexibility of carrying additional passengers / luggage.

The new look front grille with Mahindra logo, new bumper with sporty air dams and wheel arches gives a distinct look to the Xylo D2 MAXX.
