Maybach S600 launched by Mercedes Benz at Rs.2.60 crore

The ultra luxurious Maybach S600 as well as the Mayback S500 sedan has been launched by Mercedes Benz in India and comes priced at Rs.2.60 crore and Rs.1.67 crore respectively. The S600 was revealed last year globally and will replace the stand alone Mayback brand. The Mayback is Mercedes’s reply to the likes of Bentley and Rolls Royce.

The S600 comes powered by a 6.0-litre twin turbo V12 engine that delivers an unbelievable 530bhp of max power as well as 830Nm in terms of to maxrque and is mated to the 9G Tronic gearbox. The S500 is powered by a twin-turbo V8 powertrain and delivers an impressive 459bhp of power and 700Nm of torque.

In terms of looks, both the cars are stunning with the cabin being similar to the S-Class, but with tons of new additional features. The longer wheelbase also means that there has been a significant bump in terms of legroom and seatbelt airbags have been added to car as well which will be the first of its kind in any vehicle. The double MM Maybach specific logo also adds to the allure of both the cars setting them apart from the rest of the line up.

The Maybach S600 will be imported into India through the CBU route while the S500 will be assembled here at Mercedes’ Chakan plant. The S600 has already been sold out for 2015 and bookings for the S500 will begin soon as well.
