Nissan Reports 3.4% Growth in Fiscal Year 2013 in India

As the month of March ended yesterday, Nissan today announced total domestic sales in India of 38,217 units in the 2013 fiscal year ending March 2014, an increase of 3.4% compared to sales of 36,975 units in the previous year.

Nissan Terrano, the sister to Renault Duster, remains the biggest contributor to sales, achieving 14,998 units since its launch in October 2013. The hatchback Micra range (comprising of Micra Active and Micra hatchbacks) sold 12,595 units in the country. Meanwhile, the recently launched Datsun GO had also contributed a decent number, specifically 2,072 units within just 10 days of its national launch

Overall, Nissan registered sales of 7,019 units in March 2014 against 2,125 units last year, accounting for a massive 230% growth over the same period.
