Rajan Wadhera Appointed President of ARAI

The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) has announced that Mr. Rajan Wadhera would be its next President and its new Vice President would be Mr. Vikram Kirloskar.

Mrs. Rashmi Urdhwareshe, the present Director of the ARIA, while talking about the future growth of the organisation, stressed on her confidence in the new leaders. She also pointed out ARAI’s role in national development and focused on newer technology adoption. ARAI is already working on meeting new challenges such as stringent emission norms, transport engineering, road safety and working on new technology for vehicles that are cleaner, quieter and safer. The team is focusing on developing advanced technology is order to cope with these challenges.

Rajan Wadhera Appointed President of ARAI

Mr. Wadhera was previously President & Chief Executive of Truck & Power Train & Head of Mahindra Research Valley at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. He has also been one of the governing council members of the ARIA for the past couple of years and has worked on creating a strategic R&D roadmap for the organisation. He has also been the Chairman of Finance and Internal Audit of ARAI and has ensured that all rules, regulations and procedures have been followed by. The association has now seen him fit for a new role and will expect Wadhera to work on the R&D capabilities of ARIA and take the brand name of the association to a global platform.
