Though this segment seems to be very strong at this moment, the inference can be made from the fact that only 5 or 6 conventional fuel operating hatchbacks have been freshly launched or unveiled by the 18 auto manufacturers that have participated at the Delhi Auto Expo.

The focus is slowly shifting to vehicles belonging to other segments in the Indian automobile industry. This includes the MPV, SUV and in particularly those cars that are solely powered by electricity or are hybrid variants that have the presence of electric motors along with the conventionally operating petrol or diesel engine. These new concept cars have dazzled at the Expo owing to the rich technology that they have been provided with. Hence, they have been able to achieve prime focus in the eyes of the automobile enthusiasts, who have frequented this Auto Expo, as the people have been able to witness technologies that they could have never perceived in their wildest imaginations.
