Just meant to re-write the books of SUV, Skoda had launched the Yeti facelift in India for Rs 18.63 lakh ex-showroom Maharashtra.
However, this Czech based automaker’s new offering is only available in the top-end Elegance trims, provided with the options of two as well as four wheel drive.
Under bonnet there lays the existing 2.0L TDI diesel engine of 108.5bhp with the front-wheel drive trim and 138bhp for the all-wheel drive, both mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
There aren’t many options provided with this launch. The cosmetic makeover consists of redesigned bumpers, fresh ORVMs, new set of alloys, roofline color, Bi-xenon headlamps and LED tail lamps. The other add-ons list includes keyless entry, climate control and electrically functional wing-mirrors. The gimmicks like leather draped seats and steering wheel, eight-speaker audio system enhance the package further.
Safety includes ABS, EBD, ESP, hill-hold, cruise control, brake assist and tyre-pressure monitoring system.
Though, the fate is yet to be decided as the rivals like XUV500 and many more are there to conclude the competition against it. Let’s hope best for the Skoda this time at least.
