Surprise deals for the month of March 2011

We usually bring you the deals of the month package at the starting of a month wherein most of the manufacturers look to attract more of the customers into show rooms. However it has been recently brought to light that many of the manufacturers are offering some super deals towards the end of this month and we as always have brought them for you guys here.

BMW :

This could be one of the biggest deals going on this month with the BMW 320d and the BMW 320i version being offered with a price discount of Rs 2 lakhs. No other model in the BMW lineup however is being offered with any discounts.

Chevrolet :

It seems that Chevrolet is raining discounts on its customers. It is the manufacturer with the second largest number of discounts on offer, other than Maruti of course. The company’s small car, the Chevrolet Spark is offered with a Rs 46,000 discount whereas its more upmarket model, the Beat is being offered with a free Rs 14,000 insurance cover and Rs 5,000 cash discount. The slow selling U-VA can be yours with Rs 15k knocked off its price tag. The sedan version of the same, the Aveo is available with a discount of Rs 40k. Its bigger brother, the Optra is being offered with a Rs 26,000 cash discount.

Ford :

The Blue Oval has been making deep inroads into the Indian automobile market with its small hatch, the Ford Figo. Ford is offering this small hatch now with some discounts. At the dealer level, one can expect some goodies been thrown in as also the extended warranty package. If you are persistent enough, then you could wriggle out a Rs 5000 cash discount from the dealer.

Fiat :

Fiat Motors are also offering a discount on their best selling Fiat Punto. It is a Rs 3000 cash discount as also a free extended warranty with free insurance. The complete price of this package is pegged at Rs 30k.

Honda:

Honda is offering a deal currently on the Honda Jazz Select Edition and the deal will include a cash discount and free insurance worth a total of Rs 44,000.

Hyundai :

The official sponsor of the 2011 ICC cricket world cup is also offering big deals to attract customers. The smallest car in its portfolio, the Hyundai Santro is being offered with Rs 12k free insurance and in addition customers looking to exchange their old cars would get Rs 10,000 exchange bonus. Same goes with the Hyundai i10 with the Rs 14k and Rs 15k schemes respectively. The Hyundai Verna is being offered with an overall discount of Rs 21k.

Mahindra:

M&M are offering their MUV work horse, the Mahindra Xylo with free extended warranty and Rs 18,000 off on its first year’s insurance package.

Maruti :

The country’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki are offering almost all their cars with significant discounts. Both the entry level offerings like the Maruti Alto F8 and the Alto K10 have got discounts of upto Rs 25k and further savings can be achieved by exchanging your old car at the Maruti outlet for an exchange bonus of Rs 11k. The slightly premium offerings like the Maruti A-star and the Maruti Estilo are been offered with  Rs 35,000 cash discounts and a further Rs 17k exchange bonus. The Omni gets a new lease of life with Rs 9k off as part of a flat cash discount whereas the exchange scheme would bring in further more Rs 8000. The Eeco and the hot selling Swift get the Rs 5k cash discount benefit. The Wagon R in the meanwhile gets a wide discount range arraying from Rs 10k to Rs 19k. An additional Rs 15k exchange bonus is also there for grabs. The Ritz hatchback gets cash discounts ranging from Rs 20k to Rs 36 k whereas the exchange bonus of Rs 12k further sweetens the deal. The petrol SX4 goes with a Rs 40k cash discount and a further saving of Rs 20k in the form of exchange bonus.

Mercedes:

In a move to counter the BMW’s pricing strategy, Mercedes are offering the Mercedes C-class with a flat Rs 2 lakhs discount on the Mercedes-Benz C200 CGI variant. This looks to further solidify Mercedes’ image as the number one luxury car maker in India.

With all these hot deals coming the customers way, we are sure that sales figures of automobiles would be bigger than what it was last month.

    1. Since you haven’t mentioned the budget, your daily running or other details, we wouldn’t be able to recommend a car however the best bets in this segment are the Ford Figo and Maruti Ritz. Petrol or diesel depends on the kilometers that you cover everyday. If you cover more than 2000 kms a month, then it is wise to go with a diesel.
