Suzuki has recently revealed a special edition of the Suzuki Swift blessed with special features that distinguishes it from the Maruti Suzuki Swift marketed in India. Branded as the Suzuki Swift Special edition, the car has taken quite a lot from the Suzuki Swift handbook. So far the vehicle is showing a satisfactory sale of about 135 units per month and with the launch of the recent model, Suzuki is trying to bring up the figure at par with the current Indian sales.
The new Swift Special edition is powered by a 1.4 litre K14B engine that also powers Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and produces about 94 bhp of power and a peak torque of about 130 Nm. The engine is coupled with the drivetrain via a 5-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
In terms of feature upgrades, the new Suzuki Swift has lots to offer, which include 16 inch alloy wheels, silver shade door knobs, roof spoiler, renewed tail lamp design and addition of fog lamps. The interior has also received much attention with new sport inspired seats covered with the same silver shade that is found on the door handles. The instrument panel also received a chrome finish. In addition to all this it also inherits leather covered steering wheels decorated with silver stitching and a new multi-media system with USB support.
