Desert Storm

Super XUV500 created history by becoming the first ever diesel vehicle to win the Desert Storm rally. Contrary to the belief that diesel cars are non-competitive against petrol cars, the Super XUV500 wiped out competition with ease.

In all there are 55 teams in Xtreme category, 30 teams in Ndure and 20 teams in Xplore category.

Mahindra XUV500 Sets World Record for Completing Journey from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in shortest time

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), India’s leading SUV manufacturer, announced that its popular global SUV, the XUV500 has recorded the rare feat of completing a journey of 3,997 kilometres from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in the shortest time. With this, the XUV500 has set a new record in the Limca Book of Records.

A four-member team from Standard Chartered Bank, comprising of Zuzur Tinwalla (leader), Jyoti P Bhattacharjee, Anshuman Kakar and Neeraj Rastogi, completed the 3,997km drive from Kanyakumari to Leh in just 62 hours 20 minutes. Having surpassed the previous record by a margin of 10 hr 27 min, the XUV500 set a new record under the category of Fastest South-North Four-wheeler Expedition in the Limca Book of Records. The journey started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on September 30, 2013 and reached Leh in Jammu & Kashmir on October 3, 2013, having traversed the entire length of the country.

Mahindra XUV500 to see a price cut and a new high-end variant

The hearsayregarding a latest price-cut edition of Mahindra XUV500 is doing the rounds all around for more thantwelve months now, and currently a firm’s top executive has given confirmation that there will be a reasonably priced edition of the most popular vehicle, XUV500.

The top executive also stated that there will be a more priceyoption of the XUV500 in the domestic market as well.

While talking to media persons, Mr. PawanGoenka, President of Farm Equipment and automotive sections of the company also stated that there will also be a more costlyvariant of the popular vehicle.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has proposal to reinstatea few of its aged models in addition, but that must happen in the coming4 to 5 years, before that there will be a few facelifts to keep flourishing. Mahindra starts booking for all-wheel drive XUV500

India’s leading SUV manufacturer, Mahindra and Mahindra, has initiated the bookings for all-wheel drive version of its popular All-wheel drive XUV500. It is evident with the tremendous response from the earlier version that this all-wheel drive will again hit the market with a score. The automaker has also hiked the production output at the Chakan plant to ensure that vehicles are delivered timely to the customers.

The All-wheel drive XUV500 can be booked across the country with company’s dealership network by paying an initial amount of about Rs.40,000. As for now, the customer will have to wait as the delivery may take from 2 to 3 months.

Mahindra starts work on all-new Scorpio

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has started working on the all new Scorpio, codenamed W105.
