Tata Motors is all set to launch new MCV buses

Tata Motors has launched its new lineup of the world class MCV buses. The company showcased the exciting application for their buses in the intercity transportation at the SIAM International Bus and Utility Vehicle Show at Greater Noida. The other vehicles that were showcased by the company includes luxurious Divo Coach, Starbus Ultra, semi deluxe Starbus Ultra Compact and an ambulance based on the Venture platform.

Speaking on the occasion, Executive Director for Commercial Vehicle Unit, Tata Motors, Mr. Ravi Pisharody said that the MCV market is mostly dominated by the chassis sale but the Tata Motor is now all set to bring in the change with the new designed and factory built MCV buses. The buses that were showcased were mainly aimed at offering the market a much more superior quality product in their segment.

He further said that these buses have been designed to extend the current market with the company built product. As a leader in the commercial market segment, Tata always looks forward towards bringing new products in the market and this is the step in the same direction.

The new MCV buses come with fully built body that offers both AC and Non-AC version for the intercity application. The world class body has been built by the Tata Motors Marcopolo limited and is based on the LPO 1618 and LPO 1512 chassis which are well known for their superior performance and reliability.

The body’s light weight improves the vehicle performance while keeping close tracks with the durability and strength. The bus hires the superior body building process directly from the Marcopolo, Brazil. The buses are based on the improved Ex range of MCV buses that offers best operating economics, enhanced safety parameters and superior mileage.

The Front Engine Luxury AC Intercity Coach with seating capacity of 45: This bus is the hallmark for the luxury when it comes to staff and intercity transportation. The smart coach with the superior body building technology offers sleek exteriors and plush interiors. The individual AC vents, push back seats and the enough luxury space keep it distinct in the class. The bus has been built on the 180 HP proven Tata Platform and offers several advance features like air suspension, hydrodynamic retarder, overdrive gearbox and radial tyres.

Luxury Non AC Staff Bus with seating capacity of 41: This luxury bus is also designed on the MCV platform keeping in mind the need for staff and tourist transportation. With the luxurious features that includes push back seats, wide gangway, separate driver platform, flat floor inside saloon and interesting interiors; it is surely something that will appeal to passengers.

The two new buses that were showcased will see a phase wise launch in the market.
