TATA Motors is not likely to enter the premium sedan segment soon

TATA, which is primarily known for its low-budget cars like Nano, is not likely to lose that tag anytime soon. The company is shying away from entering the premium D-Segment sedan market.

TATA has made several attempts to enter this market segment, but all in vain. Earlier the company failed to deliver anything substantial with the TATA Magna concept. Now, the TATA Prima concept seems to be going in the same direction. The Tata Prima sedan concept was first showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in 2009 followed by its presence at the Indian Auto Expo in 2010. But not much has been heard about this vehicle since then.
