Toyota Kirloskar Motors will launch the new Corolla Altis in India with cosmetic enhancements on 15th March, 2017. The car manufacturer has also started accepting booking for the upcoming sedan at a minimum amount of Rs.50,000.
Altis is likely to be powered by the same engine options as found in the current model. The car will be available in four trims in both manual and automatic versions – J, G, GL and VL.
The Corolla Altis will get a 1.8 litre VVT petrol engine that produces 138 hp of power at 6,400 rpm and 173 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The unit will be paired to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed CVT-i transmission. The diesel variants will be powered by a 1.4 litre D-4D unit that develops 87 hp at 3,800 rpm and 205 Nm of torque between 1,800 and 2,800 rpm. The diesel motor will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Toyota Corolla Altis will get new features on the exterior such as bi-beam full LED headlamps with Daytime Running lights and a revised front bumper. On the inside, the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system will feature navigation, Bluetooth and voice command, which is will be carried forward from the current model.
