Volkswagen Group Registers 9.1 % Increase; Sells 5.19 Million Units World wide In Jan-July Period

The Volkswagen Group has registered an increase of 9.1% in deliveries during the last month (July 2012), taking the amount of vehicles delivered to clients globally during the initial seven months of 2012 to around 5.19 million.

During the last month (July 2012), Group brands handed over 734,600 units.

Christian Klingler, Group Board Member for Sales stated that in total, the auto firm made a positive beginning to the last half of 2012 and carried on their growth route in about all areas, mainly Asia, North America as well as Russia.

But, Klingler said that the circumstances in Western Europe stays noticeably stressed, even though their brands surpassed the overall market there in spite of the trickycir cumstances.

In addition, there was anadditional augmentation in company’s deliveries on the American continent during the last month period.

In the North America section, Volkswagen Group delivered 457,900 units during January to July period, out of which 324,200 vehicles were handed over in US.

In the South America segment, the company delivered more than 566,500 vehicles units to clients during January to July period.

Group figures for the Asia-Pacific arearemainedtoo heartening once again.

All in all, 1.72 million unites gotdelivered to clients there from the first month of 2012 to July 2012, out of which 1.51 million vehicles were handed over in the Chinese market, the region’s major single market.

In the Indian market, Volkswagen Group made delivery of around 69,400 units to clientsin the identical period.

The Volkswagen Group handed over around 2.23 million units of vehicles in Jan-July period in the European market.

Deliveries in the Western European market declinedto some extent to 1.15 million units owing to the constanttricky market situation.

In German, Europe’s majorauto manufacturer registered a growth of around 4.4% to 708,100 units.
