A few days back, we bought you the news of Volvo India launching the 2012 Volvo XC60. At a press conference held in Delhi earlier today, the Swedish company officially showcased the 2012 models of XC60 Crossover and S60 & S80 Sedan.

All three variants are powered by a new D3 diesel engine. This is a three cylinder turbo diesel engine that churns 130bhp and propels the cars by a torque of 400Nm and the car returns an impressive economy of 18.5kmpl.  This motor is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Volvo XC60 variant comes with a  all-wheel drive system.

Leather interiors are sported in all the variants and safety features like laser assisted braking and active bi xenon cornering lights are also featured in the base level models. At the occasion, Volvo said that it is the fastest growing luxury car brand across the world.

Volvo is getting ready to battle up against the premium class Audi‘s and BMW‘s, with a much-bargained price tag. For now, it is uncertain if this Swedish car maker will make fans in a country crazy for BMW’s and Audi’s.

The Delhi ex-showroom prices of the D3 range are as follows:
