India’s second largest car manufacturer and number one in exports, Hyundai Motors India Limited have given a fresh lease of life to their age old warhorse, the Hyundai Accent in India. It is been dubbed as the 2011 Hyundai Accent. It has been close to 12 years since the Accent is doing duties in India. Across the world, it has been replaced by modern looking sedans from its stables namely the Hyundai Accent and the Hyundai RB. However as is the norm in India, the Accent slots beneath the Hyundai Verna. The refresh would actually be a last ditch attempt at pumping up the old saloon’s sales. The 2011 Hyundai Accent now gets the family look with a premium looking chrome finished front grille and chrome garnished license plate. There are also body colored side moldings on this car now.

As far as interiors go, they remain vastly unchanged with rear defoggers, all power windows, wooden finish interiors and leather wrapped steering and gear lever. Director of Marketing and Sales, HMIL, Mr Arvind Saxena said that the Indians would accept the 2011 Hyundai Accent with open arms and it is a part of the model’s life cycle refresh that it has been given a new look. During its hey-days, this sedan has received many awards and with the refresh now, the goal post has just been moved now. The special pricing for the 2011 Hyundai Accent that the company is offering is Rs 501,900, which is barely Rs 20,000 more than the outgoing version. This price is ex- show room, Delhi.
