As per reports, the Mercedes-Benz was about to bring the GLC crossover to compete against the latest Audi Q3 and the crossover BMW X1. This luxury car manufacturer from Germany is considered a bit high on revamping the naming system of its vehicle and that is why the forthcoming crossover that is due to be launched in the middle of the 2013 has been named GLA. The platform of 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV could possibly be of the Modular Front Architecture or MFA platform that reinforces the sports tourer B-Class and hatchbacks of A-Class of Mercedes-Benz. After the GLA the complete line of cars sitting on the MFA platform would come to a total of five.

In terms of the dimensions, the GLA SUV will follow the B-Class tourer of Mercedes-Benz.This will make the abovementioned SUV sit right between the Audi Q3 and BMW X1. The newly revamped 2013 GLA SUV is 4440mm in length, 1800mm in width and 1500mm in height. Mercedes-Benz has been extremely generous in providing the 2700mm wheelbase and a 500 litre of boot space in this new 2013 GLA SUV. The good chances of the GLA SUV matching up with the B-Class tourer car can be linked through the indication made by the management of the senior level of Indian subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz in the past. This was about both the car models being positioned beside each other.

More Details about the Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV out

As the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV stands up on the MFA platform, one can definitely expect to have both the diesel and petrol variants in this model. The possibility of the B-Class tourer’s engine to be carried in this SUV can’t be denied because of the platform. With an option of typical four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive this SUV will have a good fan follower with its price falling within the price bracket of the same as the 2012 B-Class of Mercedes-Benz, of Rs.25 lakh. The experts inform that Mercedes-Benz has plans to being in this much anticipated SUV through Completely Knocked Down assembly that explains the reason why its price is going to be so affordable.

When we look at th3e popularity graph of the crossover of BMW X1 for the competitive pricing, the Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV can be assured of a big success as it has a low price tag that is affordable. In the next month the 2012Audi Q3 will be launched in the Indian automobile market. Audi will hit right at the nerve of Mercedes-Benz who would work at all lengths to gain back its lost automobile market share on the basis of its latest crossover 2012 Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV. The most unfortunate part here is the launch of GLA, which is scheduled to happen sometime next year.  The support of the MFA platform on the entry level cars of Mercedes-Benz may work wonders for the German car manufacturer in an attempt of regaining its lost shares in the automobile market while the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV could become the ace of spades in this process.
