New Honda Civic – Get a little sunshine this season

With the ever increase in the number of launches in the premium sedan segment, the differentiation of their product from others seems to be doing the tricks. This is been proved by the level of customization that these auto makers are offering to lure the customer into their fold. With this development in the market place, HSCI (Honda Siel Cars India) has announced its launch of a new variant of its executive-class sedan, the Honda Civic with a sunroof. The automatic transmission Civic is billed at 14.27 lakhs whereas a manual-transmission is tagged at Rs 13.53 lakhs. Urban Titanium is mulled as the new color option.

The honor at the unveiling ceremony was done in the presence of actress Chitrangada Singh. Vice-President of marketing, Jnaneswar Sen and Director of marketing at HSCI, Tatsuya Natsume were quoted as saying, that the look of the car has been enhanced by this sunroof, which gives the car a panoramic feeling making it look larger and brighter. The latest addition was given effect as a direct result of customer feedback, which found the sunroof as the most desirable feature in their Civic.

The Honda Civic was launched in the year 2006, it was a hot sell even in its early days, a sales figure of over 50000 units unit cumulatively in 4 years is what the Civic can boast of. The Civic can boast of the latest technology available in the segment with its 1.8 L i-VTEC engine which produces a mileage of 15.5 kmpl. The car combines Variable Time Control (VTC) with Honda’s i-VTEC, delivering both superior fuel economy and powerful performance.
