New Tata Indica Vista launched by Tata Motors

We have been seeing Tata refreshing the Tata Indica, their best-selling car, for quite some time now in different facelifted versions. One of the factors leading to its excellent sales could be attributed to the Tata Indica being used as a taxi and also as a commercial car as it has boot, spacious interiors and good fuel economy.

Tata have been giving some excellent cosmetic upgrades exteriorly and options pertaining to media connectivity along with tricky gadgetry and still are retaining modest prices on its cars now with ranges in petrol variants starting at Rs. 3.88 lakhs and diesel variants at Rs. 4.79 lakhs.

The inception of the Vista cars in 2008 from Tata did very well to seal Tata’s presence in the premium hatchback segment in India back then. The Tata Indica Vista certainly is a better high-end car compared to the previous Indica with excellent layout of driver display and roomy interiors that did uplift brand Indica a bit higher than its earlier ‘taxi’ avatar in India.

With the sales of premium hatchbacks kicking off well and consumers already accepting the models here, peopled needed a new refreshed version of the same thus necessitating the introduction of a new generation of Vista cars by Tata Motors. The upgrades the Vista received in the key areas now puts it in a better place worthy enough to compete with other hatchbacks in its segment.

Triple-barrelled headlights, sportier alloy wheels that come with the new Vista as well as new chrome grille in the front and other chrome finishes to its overall appearance gives the Vista a brand new face. The same styling was incorporated in the Tata Manza that made it look very good. On the whole, exceptional interiors the Vista features, gets it closer to match the feel experienced in a sedan.

There are a host of new features that are driver friendly added to Indica Vista which includes audio controls that are mounted and adjustable four-spoke steering wheel. Options like Bluetooth connectivity, USB and aux input connectivity are available. Rear view mirrors that are electrically operated along with AC controls uplift the car’s image, convenience and style.

Two options for a great engine that Tata Motors incorporates in the making of the new Vista include the 1.4 litre MPFi-Safire petrol engine and 1.3 litre Quadrajet diesel engines respectively. Fuel economy is a bit higher in the Vista with 16.7 km per litre for petrol and 22.3 km per litre for diesel cars.

The car has security and safety features to include ABS with EBD, crumple zones, dual airbags and intrusion beams. Standard features like remote keyless entry and engine immobilizer also come with the car.

The Vista can be got in the new signature Summer Sparkle colour now. Tata Indica Vista would be available at all dealerships from the first of September and would be out in four versions namely the base version of LS/ GLS, VX/ GVX, LX/ GLX and top-end version of ZX/ GZX.

Competitive prices of Rs. 3.88 lakhs for petrol variants and Rs. 4.79 lakhs for diesel variants would surely lift Tata’s sales in small car segment in India.
