Ferrari Re-enters Indian Market with the Launch of the California T

Just as we had reported earlier, Italian sports carmaker Ferrari has officially re-entered Indian market with the launch of its California T at Rs.3.45 crore. The California T was launched around the world last year and it is a worthy successor to the Ferrari California coupe. It is also the first Ferrari car in 20 years to have a turbocharged engine.

The 3.8-liter turbocharged V8 engine that powers the California T produces a whopping 552bhp of peak power and 755Nm of peak torque. With all this power, the California T can go from zero to 100kmph in just 3.6 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 314kmph. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The California T has also received certain technologies from Ferrari’s F1 vehicles, such as a F1-spec traction control system, a variable boost management system and magnetic damping.

The California T along with other Ferrari cars would be sold exclusively through two new showrooms in Mumbai and Delhi.

Ferrari F12 Speciale Spotted Testing Without Any Camouflage

Cars getting spied on while testing is nothing new. But this time a car has been spied fully undisguised while it was being tested. We are talking about the upcoming Ferrari F12 Speciale and the car was posted undergoing tests without any cover of sorts at the company’s facility at Maranello, Italy. It is expected to make it global debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

From the spy images it is clear that the F12 have hit the treadmill hard and was able to shed somewhere around 200kgs. Some serious weight reduction measures seem to have been taken by Ferrari to achieve this near impossible feat. The secret, we think, lies in the extensive use of carbon-fiber on the car. The front fenders as well as the side skirts have been made fully from carbon-fiber composites. The car also has a fully redesigned rear bumper.

As far as the powertrain of the F12 Speciale is concerned, the car will be powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.3-liter V12 engine capable of doling out a max power of 760bhp. Overall the F12 Speciale’s engine would be giving out 30HP more than what F12 Berlinetta’s engine gave.

Power to weight ratio of the Speciale is also going to much higher compared to the Berlinetta and that is primarily because of the reduction in weight of the car. It is also expected to get a new suspension to improve its driving dynamics even further.

Ferrari F12 M Spotted For First Time

For the past three years Ferrari hadn’t turned to F12 Berlinetta since launch, but suddenly out of nowhere we came across the spy-shots depicting its update. The spotted mule is seen for the first time, and was covered in camouflages at the rear. That raised suspicion claimed something fishy is cooking under the nose of this Prancing Horse.

However, no confirmation is given for the update of F12 Berlinetta by officials, but as far the speculation goes it may receive the new name badge of ‘F12 M’. Except for some changes at rear, the reason it is covered in camouflages, design remained prominent to the present-gen model. There are suspicions of rear spoiler and rear fascia going under the knife for a resurrection in major ratio.

Thus, no more details splurged from the source except that it will use a 6.3-litre V12 engine (tuned) to produce the max power output of 739bhp; with launch expected to happen at Geneva Motor show 2016.

Hence, that was all to say as of now. Stay tuned to us for more details.

LaFerrari Crashed In Shanghai, China

It hurts to see the car like LaFerrari meeting an accident across the road. Images sent from China revealed this hypercar of Ferrari is crashed while speeding on a highway in Shanghai.

The teenage driver did not possessed valid experience of driving, and as lost the control he rammed over side barriers of the road. Thus, the exact reason for accident isn’t made known, but tremendous rains must have caused it to collide.

The machine as powerful as 950 horsepower needs special guidance before strapping into its seats. This example here shows lack of expertise of the driver.

As per to a source, the owner seems filthy rich, as a media reported he too owned a McLaren P1 in his garage. Amazingly, the pair of fluorescent sneakers is also photographed, which don’t look suitable to drive this machine and must have something to do with the accident. Well, the teenager appears quite relaxed fiddling with his mobile phone after totaling this expensive ride.

Ferrari 488 GTB Revealed, Replaces 458

A revelation by Ferrari always turns out to be a legend. And when it’s at Geneva Motor Show, then the surprise hits a big size, though in a small packet. The Geneva Motor Show 2015 is bound to be an important milestone for the history of Ferrari. As reported, the company will end the production of its torch bearer 458 during September; the new product that will follow the league will be a “488 GTB” and is now revealed in virtual images ahead of its actual unveiling in Switzerland.

On the technical front, a 3.9-liter V8 twin-turbo engine of 670bhp @ 8000 rpm and 760Nm of torque @ 3000 rpm is placed. The 0-100 km/h is attained in 3 seconds, and the 0-200 km/h in a paltry time of 8.3 seconds before hitting the top-speed mark of 330 km/h.

The said amount of power from this mid-engined car is transferred to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Though, the performance isn’t known from an actual test drive, but Ferrari in its manuscript claims the exhaust is modified and now it will deliver a fresh rhapsody of the sound – clear and distinct.

Out on the styling front, a wider air dam caters he air flow with a splitter dividing it into two large sections for a more viable air movement and low down force. An active air flap at the diffuser lends the final touch to the aerodynamics. And LED headlamps are tweaked for the legacy changing purpose.

The cabin boasts similar cues to that of its predecessor 458, but those angular air vents and satellite control clusters with the skimpily revised instrument panel makes the most of it. The company claims 488 GTB of seeing the body-hugging seats and freshly made graphics for the infotainment system once when it will be launched.

The international market will get it in the showroom during September, whereas the Spider (convertible) version is bound to shed the cover at Frankfurt Motor Show this year.

Ferrari F1 Race Trailer Goes On Sale

Nothing better the money can buy than a F1 Racecar Trailer for an automotive enthusiast. As the only closest thing to the racecars, this F1 trailer-home marks an important spot for the engineers and other technicians who had contributed to pull all the strings right on the racetrack.

Reportedly, Ferrari has decided to sell its F1 motor homes for an undisclosed price.

Ferrari Limited Edition Case For iPhone 6 And Samsung S5

The stamp of Ferrari on stuffs makes way for outrageously fetching deals. One such example is here from the bay of Prancing Horse logoed carmaker of Italy. The image posted down is of the carbon fiber case made for the buyers for iPhone 6 and Samsung S5. The maker is actually an official licensee of Ferrari, so pricing does have its advantage there, but the quality doesn’t seem compromised.

Wishfully, no one tempts to hate the logo of Ferrari on their phone cover, but this automaker apparently had targeted the gentlemen who wanted to make a statement every time while answering the phone.

Anonymously, both of the cases are almost same in build-up nature, but the one for iPhone costs cheap at $44, whereas the Samsung’s accessory falls pricier at $54.73!

Well, over the tug of pricing the case does it mean that iPhone is losing its position off the list, handing it over to Samsung?
