2014 Audi S1 spotted testing

‘Hatch’ the new trend in the industry seems catching up the Audi too. After the BMW 1 Series, Mercedes Benz A Class for India, Audi is now spotted testing the hatchback ‘S1’ somewhere in Europe. It is expected to be reveled at the next year’s Geneva Motor Show, but the return of same in the spy shots had shredded more firing sparks on the hot-hatch topic of industry.

For an information, Audi A1 is there in the market since 2010, and is about to receive the facelift as soon as the next year, which hopefully will recline the S1 too on the 2014 Geneva platform. It will be the first time that S1 will come into the light since facing the facelift trials for past three years.

Concluding on the base of Audi A1, we expect the S1 to dwell the same looks to that of the A1 facelift. So revised front grille, new set of graphics in the lights, and new bumpers are the cosmetic changes which will be seen on the new car at the chilling peak of Switzerland. Headlamps expected to be derived from the new A3, and quad exhaust on the rear for sheer exciting looks, aided by large alloys too on the rear.

Engine bay to be filled by Audi’s turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder 200HP engine concluding 0-60 mph times in the six-second and the whack of 140 mph at its best. However, there aren’t plans for it to be exported throughout the other markets of world apart from Europe, and its related areas; but no one knows what Audi would stern for thronging its success as fast as possible. Meanwhile, the Mercedes Benz has GLA on the hands too for a near future.
