Audi seems to be betting quite heavily in the Indian market. The new A7 was recently spied in Mumbai. It was already revealed that the A7 would be launched by May in India, now recent reports confirm that the Audi A7 could be here by May 11.
The Audi A7 is a coupe which is available in both diesel and petrol variants, as they company is looking at expanding its powertrain options for the future. This coupe will be powered by a 3.0l TFSI Quattro 2995cc petrol engine which delivers 300 PS power at 5250 to 6500 rpm and a torque of 440Nm at 2900 to 4500 rpm.
The other option is the diesel motor which is a 3.0l TDI Quattro 2967cc 6 cylinder engine, delivering a maximum of 245 PS power at 4000 to 4500 rpm and a stupefying 500Nm torque at 1400 to 3250 rpm. The Audi 7 is to be imported to India as a completely built unit or CBU so don’t expect its prices to be any less than Rs. 65 lakhs.
It was earlier expected that the German luxury brand would wait for the A8 to first settle in the market before launching their A7, however, it looks like those waiting for the Audi A7 to launch will soon have their wish fulfilled.
