Figo is one of Ford’s best selling cars in India. The decreasing value of Indian Rupee and an unfriendly market status is affecting the sales for Ford. In order to boost sales of this successful car further, Ford has launched a limited edition Figo. The car has been given a touch up both on the interior as well on the exterior. The car will be offered in 2 variants- ZXi and Titanium.
On the exterior, the car has been given a chrome side body, rear spoilers, roof rails and reverse parking sensors. The interior has been upgraded with the installation of a new GPS system called Map My India. The seat covers are made up of Vinyl. The scuff plates have been marked with Figo logo. The specifications of the car remain unchanged and it will have the same petrol engine with a 1.2 litre capacity and a diesel engine with a 1.4 litre capacity.
It is not just Ford that is launching a limited edition version of its best seller. Many other automobile manufacturers have followed this trend to boost up their sales. Maruti Suzuki had launched a limited edition, Swift RS, of its best seller, Swift. Toyota has recently launched a limited Chrome edition of its successful car, Innova. Renault also upgraded its diesel run Scala RXZ with several additional features like light fitted scuff plates and NAV system. This was called the Travelogue edition.
As compared to the month of June 2012, Ford has performed significantly better in June 2013. Its sales have gone up owing to the smart pricing strategy it has utilized for EcoSport. The car has received a great response from the people. Ford Figo had sold a total of 3500 units in the month of May 2013. With this limited edition into the market, it is being hoped that the sale will improve in the months to come.
As if now, no information is available on the price of this limited edition Ford Figo. It is still unknown whether the existing Figo customers can get their Figo upgraded or not. As soon as the information is available, we will surely add it to our content.
