The Mobilio MPV that has been launched at the Auto Expo 2014 will further widen the portfolio of Honda. The car is said to be based on the Brio platform, which will now have a suitable length wheelbase and also free space in order to add the third row of seats. The headlights of the car make its connection with the Brio quite evident. The Honda designers have done well with the wraparound rear screen and floating D-pillar. The car has bigger wheels compared to the Brio and Amaze as a result of which it rides a little higher as well. The Mobilio MPV is powered by a 1.5-litre, 99bhp diesel engine or a 1.5-litre, 117bhp i-VTEC engine. Though the car is considered to be a compact SUV, Honda has still managed to provide room inside it.

Honda has also revealed the new Jazz that is based on the City platform. Since this flexible and spacious hatchback comprises of mostly local content, the company can price the car competitively in the market.

Honda has also unveiled a compact SUV, the XS-1. This concept car has been built on the new 2GA platform and will be a competing with the seven-seater Toyota Innova. As a part of the eco-friendly technology of the company, Honda has also displayed the Accord Hybrid. In order to deliver the maximum fuel efficiency, the hybrid system of Accord switches between three modes. This new generation of Accord is expected to be launched by the end of 2014.
