Jaguar F-Type Coupe Launched at Delhi Auto Expo 2014; Project 7 Showcased

Jaguar is wasting no time in bringing its latest cars to India, thanks to the acquisition by Tata Motors, the latest received from the British originated carmaker is the F-Type coupe to India.

The pouncing cat logoed carmaker has given its F-Type coupe with three options from under the hoods. First one is the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 producing 340PS @ 6,500 rpm and 450Nm of torque from 3,500 rpm, accelerating all the way from to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. The second option remains opulent with the same engine but power is then tweaked to 380 PS and 460 Nm of torque with none to ton in 4.9 seconds.

Last but the most powerful one i.e. a supercharged V8 under the hoods produces 550PS and 680Nm of torque reaching 0-100 km/h run in 4.3 seconds. All of the above said variants are assimilated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

To its alongside, the Jaguar too showcased the Project 7 F-Type at the Auto Expo which is laid for the study of brand. The Project 7 is developed as a one-off study for the Goodwood Festival of Speed by Jaguar design chief Ian Callum and Chief Vehicle Engineer, Mike Cross.
