Mclaren 720s Spider Officially Unveiled

The newest McLaren 720S Spider convertible has been officially revealed. Because of the roof mechanism, the car is 49 kg heavier compared to its coupe cousin, but at 1332 kg, it is almost 88 kg lighter than the current lightest convertible, the Ferrari 488 Spider.

It retains the same design both outside and inside as well as engines and transmission. It is powered by the same 720HP 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 engine that we see in the coupe.

Despite the added weight, acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph remains the same at 2.9 seconds. With the roof up, the car has a top speed of 341 kmph, while with the roof down it reaches a top speed of 325 kmph.
