Range Rover Evoque named Diesel Car of the Year

Considered as one of the best off roading machine, the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque has dazzled the auto world since it was first introduced. After raking the 2012 Women’s Car of the Year a few months ago, the Range Rover Evoque is in the limelight again. The British Diesel Car Magazine has awarded the crossover as 2012 Diesel Car of the Year.

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque crossover is produced at the Halewood facility in England, and the 1,000,000th Discovery rolled out was driven 10,000 miles in just 50 days. Besides, the 2.2-litre eD4 diesel engine gives a stunning fuel-efficiency of 129 g/km of CO2 emissions.

In India, the Range Rover Evoque made a debut in November, 2011 and has been the most spectacular crossover ever since. Apart from being on of the most capable 4X4s on road, the British crossover has clever in-car technology and sophisticated styling. In fact, the Evoque just loves the road conditions in our country and cruises effortlessly through thick and thin.

Land Rover offers the Evoque in 5-door crossover model and coupe model. The 5-door crossover is powered by diesel power plant, and comes in three forms – Pure, Prestige and Dynamic. Whereas, the coupe comes as a petrol only variant and in Dynamic form.
