Toyota Launches New Corolla Altis Variant

Toyota Kirloskar Motors recently launched a new version of their Corolla Altis luxury sedan. The variant is available in both diesel and petrol options in India, with a price ranging between INR 10.53 lakhs to INR 14.77 lakhs, according to ex-showroom prices in Delhi.

The company’s managing director, Hiroshi Nakagawa, said that following the launch if their first Corolla sedan in the market, back in 2003, the sedan has received a good response in the market. They have so far, managed to sell around 70,000 models of the Corolla sedan pan India.

In 2010, the company had managed to sell around 10,400 units of the Corolla Altis, and expect to sell around 11,500 units in 2011. The recently launched variant is powered by a 1,798cc motor. While the petrol version costs between INR 10.53 lakhs to INR 14.77 lakhs, the diesel version costs between INR 11.46 lakhs to INR 14.55 lakhs.
