Hyped for a long time in the media, Toyota finally puts an end to the speculations of FT86 by releasing a computer generated image. It is going to be witnessed at Geneva Auto Show very soon.
What the carmaker will use for its topless covering is not yet surfaced. Expectations of a soft top are more than a retractable hard one.
In the Toyota image, it seems to be a four-seater powered with a 2.0 liter flat-four engine luring 200 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheel through 6 speed automatic transmission.
After the limelight at Geneva’s event, this one will go in production line at the end of this year.
Added as an exception, Scion badges will be used for selling this one in US.
