Volkswagen Polo GT TSI is undoubtedly an epic car to drive, says a lot of VW enthusiast, and we too agreed that same way.
How about that car to be driven out with a wrap of Volkswagen’s famous R Cup assortment? We hope, all the enthusiasts will say yes, and there they go. A dealer of Volkswagen in Mumbai (named Downtown Mumbai) has made available a one of its kind Polo assortment at its showroom for not more than an additional price of Rs 60,000. The Polo GT TSI R Cup Edition is a cosmetic makeover over the existing version, which is draped with stickers on outer and the interiors carried from the existing Polo GT petrol version ‘intact’.
However, despite that same sort of cabin, the R Cup GT TSI looks refreshed. The ‘R’ flanked on the bonnet is astride by blue and grey stripes on its sides. The rear door too sees that R logo and same color-contrast flashes running from the edge of wheelbase to the rear spoiler. The rooftop dons a huge ‘VW’ logo with ‘DAS Auto’ mentioned just below it. Even the rear spoiler is found branded with the stickering of ‘Volkswagen Motorsport’. In the end, the GT branding wasn’t harnessed, those chrome emblem on the front grille and on the rear pillars were never stolen off.
Hope so, the on-road price of GT TSI R Cup edition at Rs 9.8 lakh in Mumbai sounding a whole bunch more than the competitors, but given that, it is going to entice only the enthusiasts, rather than wasting its time on an ordinary eyeball.
Needed not to forget, the car was up on display at the DNA Mumbai Auto Show in Goregaon Exhibition Center over the weekend.
