VW India Kicks Off Its First Training Centre in East India

Well in the same vein, the German automobile company Volkswagen India is concentrating on establishing innovative Service Training Academy in the nation.

Eyeing to train approximately one thousand auto engineers in a period of 12 months, the company has recently set up first training centre in eastern India at DumDum in association with JIS Group.

At present, the company is running 12 training centres crosswise the country and aims to take the total count to 25 by the next two year period (2015 end).

While talking on the time of kicking off first academy in East India, Mr. Hildebrandt stated that all the attempts are directed in the direction of enhanced after sales service facilities in the nation. This training centre would serve all the channel associates of the firm and partakers in the east Indian market, added up Mr. Dietmar Hildebrandt.

Mr. Dietmar further stated that these training centres would provide practical in addition to theoretical training on diverse phases that consists of mechatronics, after-sales, soft talents and information technology (IT).

Speaking about Volkswagen group presentation in the domestic market, Mr. Dietmar also said that during the last year (2012), the group managed to sell 9 million vehicle units crosswise the world.

As far as dealers’ network is related, the company will also concentrate on flourishing its range by appending extra outlets from 230 at the present time.

With these numbers, industry specialists think that the domestic share in VW’s global sales is fairly small that might be a major reason behind the acceptance of growth plans of German automobile manufacturer in the domestic market.

Growth in the count of authorized dealerships is also on the cards of the group that is functioning with just 230 outlets presently.
