2012 Mercedes Benz ML 63 AMG now available

Motivated by a bi-turbo direct injected 5.5 liter V8 engine, the 2012 Mercedes Benz ML 63 AMG will be as fast as a sportscar. Backed by AMG super performance, it will be offered in United Kingdom for the price of £82,995 or Rs. 68.2 lakhs on-road. Motivation for the ML 63 AMG comes from a bi-turbocharged direct injected V8 5.5 liter petrol powerplant, which is good for pulsating impressive 532 PS of power with jaw-dropping 760 newton meters of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in the time range of 4.8 seconds. In spite of the engine size, fuel economy has enhanced 40%, while reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 30%.

The 2012 Mercedes Benz ML 63 AMG’s engine is mated to AMG Speedshift Plus 7-G 7-speed automatic transmission, which gets an Eco Start/Stop function and a controlled efficiency driving mode, which contribute towards the overall fuel economy of 8.4 kilometers per litre or 23.9 miles per gallon. Enhancements to the chassis include high performance brakes with perforated discs, the AMG sports suspension, 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, direct steer and AirMATIC self leveling air suspension that ensures a grounded feel on corners and straights, without sacrificing comfort. Bodywork includes specific LED daytime running lamps, sports exhaust system with 2 sets of dual tailpipes for delivering the right exhaust note and exclusive side skirts and rear and front aprons. The interior gets four-spoke steering wheel trimmed in Nappa leather, leather upholstered sports seats, COMAND online system with media interface, a DAB digital radio and refreshed instruments.

The 2012 Mercedes Benz ML 63 AMG is available for the first time with optional AMG package that includes torque and power upgrade, along with an AMG carbon fiber engine cover, the AMG performance steering wheel with Dianmica inserts in the grip areas, a driver’s package which raises limited top speed from 250 kilometers per hour to 280km/h at a total added fee of £3,240 (Rs 2.66 lakh) and red painted brake calipers. The present version of M-Class has been doing rather well in the country and with added option of AMG package; it is likely to be a hit amongst enthusiasts when it arrives.
