2013 Dodge Dart: A look before it hits showrooms

The 2013 Dodge Dart has succeeded in attracting the attention of car enthusiasts across the globe. The Chrysler Group has brought in the 2013 Dodge Dart as a new sedan in the resurrected name of Dart. But in case anyone feels like comparing it as a resurrection of the Chrysler Neon, I’d rather ask them not to.

If we take a quick look on the 2013 Dodge Dart design and interiors, it won’t take even a few seconds to realize that it has heavy Italian influence on its design. The car is said to be based on a version of Fiat Compact Platform and Alfa Romeo Giulietta. So it’s simply a waste of time if you keep on considering the 2013 Dodge Dart an iteration of the Chrysler Neon.

The car is equally brimmed with some turn-on and turnoffs. The big mouth over-chromed front grilles don’t look good at all and probably that’s why the car looks quite appealing with Dodge’s low profile crosshair grille. Apart from the grille-factor, it’s the artistic design of Dodge has always attracted eyeballs towards it. The same is the case for the 2013 Dodge Dart too.  Just like most of the Dodge cars, the new sedan too have succeeded in a more sporty and bumpy look. As far as the interiors of the car are concerned, the car doesn’t lag behind there as well. The interiors too exhibit an aggressive, sporty and unique design features.

The R/T trim level shoots up the power output to an 184hp count in the four-cylindered engine.

As far as the competition of 2013 Dodge Dart is concerned, the car will be facing a tough competition from sedans like Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra and Chevrolet Cruze. Although the 2013 Dodge Dart hasn’t been launched yet, rumors are rife rampant that the car will certainly bring in a bang in the compact sedan market once it hits the showrooms.

The Dodge Canada-made sedan’s price tag hasn’t been finalized yet, but an approximation can certainly be made by checking out online preliminary survey-style sample configurator (US).
