2013 Honda CR-V Launches in India at Rs.19.95 lakh

2013 Honda CR-V was the much anticipated product from Japanese workhouse as it was in gossips for ground breaking ergonomics and styling cues.

On seeing the 2013 Honda CR-V , we are very much gleamed about its appearance, which stands true to all our speculations. Starting from Rs. 19.95 lakh, it comes in four trims and two styling packs i.e. Elegance and Inspire. Need not to forget, this one will be assembled at Honda’s Noida facility in order to reduce the price tag, so as of now 2013 spec is Rs.3 lakh cheaper than its outgoing model.

On the exteriors, a nosy but stylish front grille looks charming in all its dignified glory, with some swift flowing lines all over the body. It does also come embedded with chromed window outlines, and vertical taillamps. Rear compelled our attention towards Volvo XC series due to its utmost similar styling of taillight, but though we sink down ourselves again to the H powered moniker.

Getting hooked to engine made us to learn that it is the same which predecessors were carrying on for so years. To add a new sparkle in the good old wine, 2.0 liter and 2.4 liter petrol jags are tweaked to an extent for chart topping outputs like 156PS (earlier 143PS) and 190PS (earlier 161PS). The gearbox differentiation can be simplified as:

Rivalries will be majorly figured out with Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Outlander, Chevrolet Captiva and Hyundai Santa Fe. As Honda enjoys some premium segmentation here, it will not be wrong to say that BMW X1, Audi Q3, upcoming Volvo V40 and lined-up Jeep Wrangler (short base) may face a blow of competitive heat.
