2014 Parx Super Car Show Concluded Successfully in Mumbai

Started as early as 8.00.a.m. in the morning, 2014 Parx Super Car Show saw its spectators gathering at the venue from wee hours of 12th January 2014. This year Parx Super Car Show entered its 6th edition, and kick started the adrenaline rush from the Vidhan Sabha of Mumbai at Nariman Point. The numbers of cars were comparatively lesser than previous year. Founder chairman of Super Car Club and MD of Raymond Limited Mr. Gautam Singhania pushed the adrenaline factor of event with 1932 made Ford Rebel Hot Rod for the first time on India roads. He modified the car which now runs on a 500hp V8 reaching to a top notch of 200kmph. Other car badges which enhanced the glamour of show were Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Maserati, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Mercedes, Audi, BMW and lot more. A Volkswagen Herbi of some vintage sort was also present there. T-Rex and its likes too joined the Raymond’s motoring fray.

Started to rally on the roads, as per the pre-decided route, all cars rolled out from the parking lot of Vidhan Sabha at 10.00 a.m. and rouged the tarmac of Mumbai city with their enticing roars and massive road presence. Apart from the cars, a couple of bikes too became a part of the show. They were ‘BMW Motorrad K1300’ and ‘Honda Goldwing’. Duos were standing at the front of parking-lot gate and were glaring the entrants with their unique characters.

The venue gate was bottle-necked compared to the burgeoning crowd, and vehicles were cordoned off by the floods of car-aspirers during the rally. It was the red and yellow colored Ferraris (mostly the California), green and orange painted Lamborghinis (the DC designed Aventador in bronze paint shade shone awesome) and the BMWs as well as Audis with their performance tag (M and RS respectively) along with power packed Porsches and Jaguars raced to the end of Bandra-Worli Sea Link and took a u-turn from the BKC junction returning back to the starting point.

It was delight to see the Aston Martin ‘Rapide S’ at show which launched recently in India. Concluding-off the event Mr. Singhania gave away the prizes to some of the best drivers of rally. And then all cars returned to their spot where they were hailed from. The others super car owners who weren’t a part of the event joined the rally too. A Corvette C4, Hummer H2, customized Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG in military green paint job, and lots more made their way unofficially to the rally but were following the decorum to its fullest. This time no mishap, injury and accident were reported, and all the possession went successfully. And also, as like the power-packed rush started on time in the morning, it too ended sharp on the given notation of 2.00 p.m.
