2014 Tata Aria Facelift Revealed: Starts at Rs 9.95 Lakhs

Tata Aria has been in the market since 2010 and till now; the vehicle has really struggled in terms of sales. In spite of its fairly potent diesel powerplant and good quality interior, the Aria is outclassed in the presence of Mahindra XUV 500 and Toyota Innova. So, the automaker decided to quietly introduce the redesigned yet upgraded Tata Aria crossover with the starting price of Rs. 9.95 lakh for the base trim level (2-wheel drive Pure LX) and Rs. 14.74 lakh for the range topping trim (4-wheel drive Pride). The redesigned 2014 Tata Aria gets decals on the side, taillamps and projector headlamps.

Motivation for the 2014 Tata Aria comes from a VariCor diesel 2.2 liter engine, which is good for pulsating 148 horsepower. The same engine is also found on Tata Safari Storme. It will be available in three different variants – Pure 4×2, Pleasure 4×2 and top-of-the-line Pride 4×4. Standard features on Pure 4×2 include follow-me home headlights, electric wing mirrors, sunglass holder, rear air conditioning vents, driver information system, projector headlights, disc brakes and remote central locking. Opting for the Pleasure 4X2 trim will get you the features of base trim plus roof storage bins, a double DIN stereo with steering mounted audio controls, chrome door handles, chilled glove box, body colored roof rails, full chrome grille, reverse parking sensors, rear wiper and defogger, Antilock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and front airbags.
