The new hatchback from Toyota made its first public appearance at the Auto Shanghai Show which was held in April 2013. The car has now been spotted rest driving in Thailand. A test driving model has been spotted by Thaiyaris.com and the images show that the car was highly camouflaged. The sibling sedan of Yaris, Vios, is already on sale in Thailand. Now it can be expected that Yaris will soon join the line up in the country.

This exotic hatchback completely rocked the Shanghai autos show. It received an overwhelming response from the audience attending the event. The contemporary design of Yaris as well as its sibling Vios is based on the Dear Qin theme that was exhibited at the event of the Beijing Motor show last year. The designing of the new Yaris has overridden the previous model.

The previous version of Yaris came with 2 engine options. These were a 1.3 liter petrol engine and a 1.6 liter petrol engine which gave an impressive power output of 118 bhp. The new variant of Yaris is housing a 1.5 liter engine and not the 1.6 liter engine. The new Yaris will continue to carry the 1.3 liter engine but this time it is offering a slightly higher output. Both the engine options will come with manual as well as auto transmissions.

A great thing about new Yaris is that its robustness and style outdoes even the well established models like Etios Liva. The car has been designed in such a way that it offers a spacious interior and is therefore highly comfortable. If we compare the Yaris to Honda’s highly successful cars like the i10 or Jazz then it is almost certain that Yaris will prove to be the best in class.

Talking about the exterior, Yaris endorses beautifully designed head lights. The creatively designed grille adds to the appeal of the car. Moving towards the rear, we see highly innovative tail lights. The suspension system of the car has been designed in such a way that the car can offer a smooth ride even on bumpy roads. The car offers an interior room which is very generous for a small hatchback. The car has sufficient space to accommodate 5 passengers. There are foldable seats in the rear.

The dash board gets a Speedo console which can keep up with world class equipments in cars like Chevy Spark. A comfortable interior is one the most attractive feature for the new Yaris. This new hatchback will attract a lot of young professionals towards itself. The company has priced the car very competitively at Rs 7 lacs. The Yaris fans will have to wait till the end of the year to get their hands on this master piece. By around the same time, the company will also launch a Toyota Vios Package.

It is expected that the car will be manufactured in Thailand locally alongside its sibling Vios. Just like we have Etios Twins in India, the Thailand people have Yaris and Vios. The difference being that this duo, Yaris and Vios, is much superior both in quality and performance as compared to the Etios Twins.
