2015 Volkswagen Jetta Unveiled Before New York International Auto Show

Volkswagen always used to have an upper hand of German Engineering in selling its cars to the various markets. But in the recent times, its agenda of being German seems to have stopped selling the products, as the brand hadn’t made remarkable changes to the model’s designs and other reflective to lure the eyeballs. So for increasing the crisp of sale in the markets, the 2015 Jetta is the Volkswagen’s answer to the world which is about to make debut at the upcoming 2014 New York Auto Show.

Jetta has remained one of the world’s most successful sedans with more than 14 million units sold since 1979. Last year alone, Volkswagen delivered 925,000 units worldwide—making the Jetta the top-selling car for both the brand and of the entire VW Group.

The new styling can be seen both on interiors as well as exteriors. The front receives revised radiator grille with three cross fins, optional Bi-Xenon headlights with Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), and a new bumper. The bi-Xenon is done with the 15 LEDs arranged in an L-shaped string alongside like that of the Passat. It is also informed, the fog lamps too are revamped. Moving onto the rear, it sees the redesigned trunklid, taillights, rear logos and bumpers. The tail lamps are also given LED treatments, but to the GLI and Hybrid variants only.

In addition to new styling touches at the front and rear of the car, the 2015 Jetta had gained notable changes throughout. The fuel-efficiency is also improved by reducing air drag and utilizing new tires. New driver assistance systems are now made available, such as Blind Spot Detection, frontal collision warning and rear cross-traffic alert (inclusive of Park Distance Control).

Inside the cabin, the upgraded sedan i.e. 2015 Volkswagen Jetta sees an upgraded interior with new materials and an enriched assortment of available equipment. The technicalities of the VW sedan continues to offer three four-cylinder gasoline engines (2.0-liter naturally aspirated and 1.8T and 2.0T TSI Gen 3 turbocharged EA888 engines), a 1.4-liter turbocharged full hybrid version, and a new EA288 2.0-liter turbocharged EA288 TDI Clean Diesel engine.
