BMW India has launched the much awaited facelifted 2013 X6 SUV in the Indian market today in two different variants at a starting price of Rs.78.90 lacs (ex-showroom Delhi). The car has already been launched in countries like Malaysia, US and Europe. It was also showcased at the recently concluded New York Motor Show. The new BMW X6 comes with a lot of changes and a new M Performance Package.
On the outside, the 2013 X6 comes with a newly designed radiator grille with angled slats and 3D chrome frame , bigger bumpers on the front, new taillights as well as new alloy wheels. Apart from these, the new X6 also gets a new light cluster with horizontally positioned LED glowing bars. If the customer wants, the bonnet can also be fitted with a power dome.
On the inside as well, the X6 has been improved with three seat benches and new Nevada leather upholstery in Beige, Oyster/Black, Black, Saddle Brown/Black and Vermillion Red or Black option.
The new BMW X6 is being offered in two engine variants – 4.4-liter eight-cylinder petrol on the BMW X6 xDrive50i producing a peak power output of 407bhp and a peak torque of 600 Nm. With this power and torque the petrol X6 achieves a top speed of 240kmph and reaches 100kmph from zero in just 5.4 seconds.
The diesel BMW X6 xDrive40d comes fitted with a six-cylinder diesel engine producing a peak output of 306 HP and torque of 600Nm. The xDrive40d has a top speed of 236 kmph and reaches 100kmph in 6.5 seconds. Both engines have been mated with an eight-speed automatic double clutch transmission.
