Peugeot-Citroen hold-up their India plan

Peugeot-Citroen has proposals to establish a facility in Sanand and the French automobile giant PSA had held a press meeting on February 15 in Sanand.

But owing to unstable situation in Europe, PSA Group took a decision to postpone that proposal. The firm was previously examining its Peugeot 207 and 508 in Indian situations, chiefly in Mumbai and Pune. Currently, that has been blocked up.

Indian market is certainly a vital place to make entry and the French Auto giant is not refusing the piece of evidence.

Peugeot-Citroen is eager on its India proposals and at the present time, they possessed an office in the country. They propose to reach India and establish a facility in Sanand, but things have been postponed for the moment.

An official declaration from PSA Group stated, “Taking into consideration the unstable situation in Europe that impacts considerably the Group’s incomes and success, PSA Peugeot Citroën declared its aim to postpone its project in the country and construction processes on the production plant in Sanand at the time of its financial outcomes on 15th February 2012.”

But, the Indian market stays premeditated for PSA Peugeot Citroën, fitting well into the mid-term worldwide growth of the brand. The timing of the introduction of Peugeot is presently being reviewed in proportion to the rescheduling of the project.

But, PSA Peugeot Citroen has its offices in Ahmedabad and its union with the administration of Gujarat stays optimistic and sturdy.
