Nissan has revealed the electric variant of the extremely popular NV200 MPV in Japan. As far as the look of this car is concerned, it is not hugely impressive. The car has a rectangular or box like shape overall, with protruded and somewhat circular front, which is not very impressive. The only good thing that this sort of body frame does is that it makes the interior of the vehicle quite spacious.
Nissan had showcased the e-NV200 for the first time at the Detroit Auto Show this year. The company has also announced that it is intending to take the e-NV200 to mass production pretty soon. The company is looking to launch this vehicle in both the passenger and commercial segment.
As far as the powertrain of the e-NV200 is concerned, it is fitted with a 80kW electric motor, which delivers a peak torque of 207 lb-ft. The electric motor is powered by a 24kWh lithium-ion battery. On full charge of its 24kWh battery, the e-NV200 gives a maximum range of 105 miles.
The dashboard of the e-NV200 has also been revamped, and it is vastly different from the NV200 variant. It has been fitted with C-cluster displays, which were missing on the previous NV200 models. The seating capacity of the vehicle is increased by the foldable seats, two rows of which the car possesses.
